French Language

One of the most significant Romance languages in the world is French. The French language is natively spoken in France, the French-speaking regions of Switzerland, Wallonia and Brussels in Belgium, Monaco and the state of Quebec in Canada and is a second language in some countries in Africa such as Gabon, Mauritius and Cote d’Ivorie. French also happens to be the second most studied language in the world after English, and there are very good reasons behind such a trend from economic advantages to cultural reason.

The French language is a very useful language throughout the world. French is a language that is claimed to provide the most choices to further educational pursuits as well as careers. It is one of the official languages of many international governing bodies such as the UN, UNESCO, NATO, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Union and others. Given its worldwide importance, it’s no surprise that many governments and business are on the lookout for French-speaking workers.

Learning French opens the path towards discovery and a deeper appreciation of the contributions of the French to many aspects of civilization such as the arts, sciences, and culture. For people who wish to make great contributions themselves, learning the French language is a step towards such ideals.
